On Her Majesty's Secret Service
I think this is the first George Lazenby Bond I've watched, at least consciously. This made it onto the 'to watch' list after the success of The Assassination Bureau, which also features Diana Rigg as the heroine and Telly Savalas as the baddy, and having enjoyed that and being in the mood for Bond, what the hell, I thought.
This has aged surprisingly well. There are all sorts of alpine ski chase scenes which are actually still really quite gripping. The plot line of Blofeld hypnotising girls with allergies to release impotence drugs into the world is rather... well, let's say it is very Swiss Girls Boarding School, as is Bond wandering around seducing everything in sight (although I was quite glad that this was what gave him away). But that said, the film itself stands up very well to the test of time, and I really rather enjoyed it. I should think about watching more Lazenby Bond.
