Filmography

Quickies to get them out of the way.

9 - Doctor Who: Survival

The last Who before the old series was cancelled - which was a real shame, as Interesting Things happened to Ace and I would have loved to see where they'd taken it. Also some good comment on a certain kind of Little Britain mindset that values a rather narrow kind of patriotism and rather puffy rhetoric over actually doing useful things.

10 - Footballers' Wives - Season 2

Oh, no doubt about it, absolute trash, but that's rather what I wanted to watch it for so I can't really complain.

11 - Seven Brides for Seven Brothers - reviewed Elsewhere.

12 - Angel - Season 5

I finally finished the whole of the thing! And this is a quite interesting series that meditates, in a monster-bashing kind of way, on the corruption offered by power and how you deal with the opportunities and changes that taking on the power offered by institutions present. A big commentary on corporate America and how it blurs moral boundaries, although obviously made extra-enlarged by things like having demons as clients. I got a bit cross about the general 'let's shred the romantic protagonists'. It seemed unnecessary. There were also some other problematic things (massively racist interlude in Italy, anyone?), but I'm not going to fuss too much about it - and, as a finish, I reckon it tied up its loose ends fairly well.

Hehe, I like your writing style and your nuggishness. :-) You are lovely.

9 - Doctor Who: Survival,

Also has some of the best Doctor/Master interaction going, along with the worst animatronic cat ever. :)

Oh, the animatronic cat! Made me giggle an awful lot.

Yes, I was quite sad that the end of the program meant we didn't get more Doctor/Master interaction, as this was jolly interesting stuff.
