I think it was her performance in Mona Lisa Smile that first got me interested in her as an actress, and the combo of her and Izzard was too good to miss. I agree with you that her mannerisms perfectly fit the era. I've got the Sofia Coppola Marie Antoinette in the queue at the moment, and am quite looking forward to seeing how she does in that.
