I think it's one of those things you have to have been brought up with to adore, like Dark Crystal. Labyrinth somehow manages to be great regardless of when you're exposed to it, I don't know how. I also have no idea why I'm watching so many of these 1980s silly films at the moment, but hey! Rolling with it!

And yes. Clearly Mad Martigan and the Brownies are the redeeming factors. CLEARLY.
