Cuteness!

I don't know how many of you have been following the story of Knut the polar bear, but [livejournal.com profile] metonymy just pointed me at the most adorable video.

Knut Out And About.

It's in German, which is CLEARLY the reason I'm watching it. To improve my language skills. Yes. Because obviously 'and now it's time for the polar bear to get into the bathtub' is clearly going to come up in every piece of Germanic classical scholarship ever.

Knut is my new best friend. YOU CAN'T HAVE HIM HE'S MINE.

Clearly we already came up with the solution when [livejournal.com profile] metonymy alerted me to the existence of this video:

[livejournal.com profile] the_lady_lily (22:08:50): i too WANT ONE
[livejournal.com profile] metonymy (22:11:01): everybody does
[livejournal.com profile] metonymy (22:11:06): we need to start a letter-writing campaign
[livejournal.com profile] metonymy (22:11:23): "dear genetic engineers: cloned baby polar bears that stay babies. get to work, stat."
[livejournal.com profile] the_lady_lily(22:12:34): heh. 'and do a couple that don't stay babies so we can do something about the species extinction too'
[livejournal.com profile] the_lady_lily (22:12:46): he is so sweet bumbling around on his little legs!
[livejournal.com profile] metonymy (22:12:57): he really is
[livejournal.com profile] metonymy (22:13:01): and in the bath?
[livejournal.com profile] the_lady_lily (22:13:13): swishing around like a cheerful small polar thingie!
[livejournal.com profile] the_lady_lily (22:13:15): am in love.
