Bibliography
Feb. 7th, 2007 10:40 amSo, for those of you not keeping up with the course, this semester, rather than taking a German film course, I am taking a German literature course. The title of said course is 'Inscribing Women', which means we're doing a survey of literature from the Enlightenment onwards, examining how woman is constructed and functions as a site of cultural critique in these texts. Which is very interesting, if you ask me - a good way of actually putting some of the stuff I got my fingers into this time last year into practice on a real grown-up text. The professor, thankfully, is very text-based (i.e. wants you to approach a text 'naively' rather than with a bundle of theory in hand), which means my assignment each week is a careful reading of the set text. Hence bibliography!
